Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on 4th Thursday of November in United States. Before the reconstruction in 1870’s , the dates of Thanksgiving Day celebration were different in different states in United States.The present day is fixed in earlier of 19th century.

In 1863 all nations celebrated Thanksgiving Day on the same date. Germany, Japan, Grenada, Liberia, Korea, Netherlands and Norfolk Island celebrate the festival similar to Thanksgiving. The customs and celebration may vary in different countries but the thanksgiving celebration has a unique purpose all over the world.

Canadian Thanksgiving has similarity with Harvest festival. It is believed that the Canadian Thanksgiving celebration was started from 1578.

Canadians celebrated their primary Thanksgiving Day on 1872, April 15 as a part of gratitude towards God for recovery of Prince of Wales from a serious illness. During the early years the celebration was on November 6 during late 19th century. But due to the collision with Armistice Day after the 2nd World War it is postponed to present date.

The customs for the Canadian Thanksgiving is similar to the celebration in United States. The doodle has included Pumpkin Pie instead of 2nd ‘o’ of the Google logo. Also there is a maple leaf like design in the Pumpkin pie as Canadian Thanksgiving falls on autumn season. Pumpkin pie is the special dish prepared for the Canadian Thanksgiving.

Korean Thanksgiving Day is celebrated as secure holiday there. Google released a special doodle as a part of Korean Thanksgiving Day on September 14, 2008.

The celebration has pretty much traditional root and similar Thanksgiving celebrations can be found important place in Catholic calendar as a result of English reformation. On this special day people attend prayer ceremonies. They believes that on this special day God will worship special blessings on them.

Turkey dish is the main dish for the Korean Thanksgiving celebration. Korean Thanksgiving is also known as Chuseok is the major harvest festival celebrated in middle of autumn season. The holiday of celebration will last for 3 days.

On this Korean Thanksgiving Google released a special doodle on September 14, 2008. Google doodle contains the fool moon instead of 2nd ‘o’ of Google logo. According to lunar calendar Korean Thanksgiving is celebrated on the 15th day of 8th month.
