Kishore Kumar honored with Google Doodle on 85th Birthday

Most successful playback singer Bollywood ever seen, Kishore Kumar gets a Google Doodle on Birthday. Classic doodle for king of Indian music  portraits Kishore Kumar replacing alphabet ‘l’.

Apart from his portrait, doodle included four symbolic images in four corners. A set of mask at top left corner showcase Kumar as an actor, video camera on top right corner represent him as a director, musical note at bottom left shows his singing career and writing board at left highlights him as director.

Kishore Kumar was born on 1929 August 4. He got  interested in film and music from childhood itself, inspired by his elder brother Asokh. Ashok was a known actor in Bollywood and Kishore used to be in film sets with him.

It was in 1948, in Ziddi Kishore Kumar sang his first song. Shikari was the film he debut as an actor, in 1951. From the time Kishore Kumar became a star and he got numerous assignment for both singing and acting. Kishore Kumar raised as a top multitalented personality of Indian Film Industry within no time.

Kishore have sang in many languages including Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Oriya and Urdu. Also he directed and wrote screen play for many films. By 1960’s and 1970’s he became voice of hindi film and for all most all leading starts he sang songs in films.

Kishore Kumar was given many awards for his extraordinary talent. To get the FilmFare Award for Best play back singer eight times in life is great achievement. He was also given Lata Mageshkar Award , also for his contribution in Hindi Cinema ‘Kishore Kumar Award’ is given by Madya Pradesh government.

Kishore Kumar died on 1987 October 13 at the age of 58. Google Doodle honors this legendary actor on his 85th Birthday.
