Independence of India marked with Google Doodle on 68th Anniversary

Google India marks 68th anniversary of the Independence Day with a doodle on 15 August 2014. It’s to commemorate declaration of Independence on 1947 August 15 from British rule, India celebrate Independence Day every year.

Google Doodle features Indian postage stamp and seal in it. Saffron, White and green colors are included to design entire Google logo alphabets in homepage for the day.

Google have come up with Indian Independence Day Google Doodles in previous years also, announcing heritage, culture and spirit of the day. This years Google Doodle leads to search page for India Independence Day, clicking on it. Doodle will present in Google India for 24 hours.

Integrating diverse culture under a single umbrella, India is the country which is known for its unity in diversity. Hundreds of languages, numerous religions and customs within 28 states in an area of 1,269,346 sq mi makes up the nation.

Official and Unofficial celebration of Independence Day have started in India. Indian President Pranab Mukherjee addressed the nation on Independence eve. President Pranab Mukherjee spoke on India and current issues regarding nation and governance  in speech. He Said

Though India is an ancient civilisation, it is a modern nation with modern dreams.Intolerance and violence is  betrayal of  letter and spirit of democracy. Those who believe in poison drip of inflammatory provocation do not understand India’s values or  its present political impulses. Mukherjee also added in his speech : Indians know that progress, economic or social, is difficult without peace.

Main programs of the day starts with flag hoisting , firing of 21 gunshots and parade. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address nation on Independence Day. It is expected that Prime Minister will deliver the Independence Day address at Red Fort rampart on Friday after flag hoisting.

Apart from capital city, Independence Day programs will takes place all around country. It is a public holiday for all government offices. Schools, colleges and other organizations will conduct special programs for Independence Day celebration. Tricolor national flag of India is seen at every place on the day.

Jana Gana Mana, the National Anthem composed by Bengali poet Rabindranadh Tagore will be sung on official functions of Independence Day.Freedom struggles, freedom fighters and Independence movement are commemorated on the day in every programs.

Distribution of sweets and special prayers for all comrades shed their blood for nation are other events of Independence Day in India. Kite flying competitions will take place on the day, you can see sky spotted with colorful kites on the day.

Search giant Google have changed their logo in Korea too, announcing 69th Liberation Day of Korea on 15 August. Changing logo on special occasion is the style of Google since 1998, starting from burning man Google Doodle.

Patriotism, unity and national spirit is seen at every function on Independence Day. Independence Day of India is one of the most beautifully celebrated day with Tiranga decorations and  light arrangements.
