Google on March 6th presented a doodle on homepage of Ireland and United Kingdom to mark 208th birthday of Elizabeth Browning, poet of Victorian era.
Google Doodle for Browning included her image with a flower in one hand and a book in other hand. Image of the poet is placed before first letter of the Google logo. Logo is included in a pink and white filigree background with letter wrote with dark color similar to the costume of poet in the Google doodle.
Elizabeth Browning born on 1806 March 6th is regarded as one of the most prominent poet of her time. Elizabeth was the wife of renowned poet Robert Browning. Starting at the age of six Elizabeth have wrote wide range of poems in her life time.
Most of Browning’s poems had a religious influence. It’s the Elizabeth Volume Poems in 1844 made her recognized by world for her talent. She became famous around England. It’s her talent in poetic skills attracted Robert Browning. Soon after, Robert Browning and Elizabeth got married and moved to Italy, the place they spend most of their married life as her family didn’t supported affair with Robert.
Out of large collection of poems, it’s How Do I Love Thee? which got main attention today also. Elizabeth Browning died on 29th June 1861 at the age of 55.
