Gmail App for Android crossed 1 billion installations from Play Store

Today official Gmail application for Android passed one billion downloads from Google Play store. It is confirmed by Google’s Android head Sundar Pichai on his Google+ page.


Gmail became the first ever Android application to cross 1 billion installations. Google also managed to bring all new and effective features of Gmail to i’s official Android application at right time.

Accessing of only important mails becomes more easier with new inbox in Gmail application. You can also manage multiple account at a time. It also offers reading and searching of mails even in offline mode. If you are using Android 4.3 version the app support uploading of multiple attachment at a time, Gmail app on  Android 4.4 devices also offers printing of mails and attachments.

Other Android applications from Google like chrome browser, Street view on Google Maps, Voice Search and Google+ also comes within list of most downloaded applications on Android.
