How to enable and disable Google Now in Chrome Browser

Google Now for Chrome browser officially launched back in February first week.  This service works in background and provides you instant notifications for all informations you needs to know. Here how to enable and disable Google Now in Chrome.

Google Now in Chrome available for both Windows and Mac platforms. If you had a Chrome beta then you can get alert for upcoming events, flight informations, sport scores, traffic and for weather within desktop. Now this service featured in beta version, Google will release it for all users if this attempt worked out well.

Enable Google Now in Chrome

To enabling Google Now in Chrome browser you just need to sign into Chrome using your Google account that you used for mobile devices. For sign in with Chrome

  • Open Chrome browser.
  • Click on the Chrome Menu button on top right corner.
  • Select sign in with Chrome.
  • Sign in with your Google account.
  • Make synchronization settings from advanced settings.
  • Click noe for chrome

For the next time you will get notifications right at the desktop from a bell icon at lower right corner of screen. These notifications are subset of Google Now alert for mobile devices. It is because this service works through tracing your location. Some of notifications like tourist attractions are not needed within desktop version, becomes good for you.

At the same time when you are busy at doing something important notifications from sport centers becomes little irritating. So you demands for turning of Google Now for such situation.

Disable Google Now in Chrome Browser

  • Click on bell icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
  • Select notification center.
  • Click on gear icon at bottom right corner.
  • Uncheck on Google Now box.
