Winter Olympics 2002 Hockey tournament was held at E Center in West Valley City and Peaks Ice Arena in Provo, Utah. There were 16 teams competed each other in the tournament. The 16 teams are divided in to 4 groups Group A, B, C, D.

For men’s Hockey, Group A contains Germany, Latvia, Austria and Slovakia. Group B contains Belarus, Ukraine, Switzerland and France. Group C contains Sweden, Czech Republic, Canada and Germany. Group D contains United States, Finland, Russia and Belarus. From this list of teams Russia, United States, Canada and Belarus entered the semifinals. In first semifinal match United States beats Russia by 3-2. In second Semifinal Canada beats Belarus by 7-1. In finals Canada won by beating United States by 5-2.

For women’s Hockey Group From this list of team participated, United States, Canada, Sweden, Finland enters to Semifinals. In first Semifinal match United States beats Sweden by 4-0. In second Semifinal match Canada Beat Finland by 7-3. In finals Canada beats United States by 5-2. So in both men’s and women’s Ice Hockey, Canada won the Gold by beating United States in finals. Winter Olympics 2002 Snowboarding events were organized for five day period and is held at Park City. The Winter Olympics 2002 Snowboarding competition started from February 10 and ended on February 15. About 119 competitors from 19 countries participated in snowboarding event.

There are 2 main categories of events for men and women in snowboarding. They are called Halfpipe and Parallel Giant Slalom events. In Halfpipe event United States won all the 3 medals, Gold Silver and Bronze. In Parallel Giant Slalom event Switzerland, Sweden and United States won the Gold, Silver and Bronze medal respectively. When we analyses the medal table United States become topper in medal table with 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Gold medals. France comes in second position with 1 Gold and 2 Silver medals.
