DNA Doodle for Rosalind Franklin on 93rd Birthday by Google

Rosalind Franklin’s 93rd Birthday was celebrated by this special doodle on the Google homepage on July 25th, 2013.Rosalind Franklin Doodle  included everything to make it special and to convey the message of the day.

In the Rosalind Franklin Doodle ,Google included the image of her in the place of alphabet ‘o’. To make us remember Roslins famous theory on DNA,  in the doodle Google logo alphabet ‘l’ is replaced with the double helix structure of DNA.Rosalind Franklin Doodle  make us  memorize this great biophysicist.

Rosalind Franklin is one of the woman scientist who had given great contribution to the world. Though she lived only for 37 years she had given great contributions in the scientific researches.

The entire Google doodle is given a brown background with Google logo inside it in a different style. It was the X-Ray diffraction image of DNA invented by Rosalind which later became the reason for the invention double helix structure of DNA.

This great lady was given many honors and awards during her life time and after her death. It was her determination and talent which made her contribute to this much great contribution to the world.

Rosalind Franklin’s University of Medicine and Science was named after her. It is located in Chicago. Rosalind Franklin was known as X-Ray crystallographer and as British Bio Physist. Google doodle in Rosalind’s honor was really a beautiful one with the inclusion of all ingredients which makes us remember her inventions.

Apart from contributing to the invention of DNA structure Rosalind was also known for working out the structure of coal, graphite and viruses. Rosalind Franklin was died in the year 1958 on April 16th. It was due to ovarian cancer she died at the age of 37. Rosalind Franklin’s contributions to the world are noticed, honored and recognized with this doodle.
