Rembrandt van Rijn 407th Birthday Google Doodle

Google Doodle on July 15th was to celebrate the 407th birthday of the famous Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn who have many good works in his name during the Dutch Golden Age painting. Google logo alphabet ‘g’ is replaced with his image in the doodle.

The image we can see in the  Google doodle resembles the oil canvas painting by Rembrandt van Rijn which was created in 1659 known as “Self Portrait with Beret and turned up collar”. The entire logo is also transformed in to a model which goes in hand with this oil canvas painting by Rembrandt van Rijn in Google Doodle.

Rembrandt was born in the year 1606. This great artist who was known as the “one of the best prophets of the civilization” has many brilliant works in his name. He was not only known as a painter but also an etcher.

He adopted a painting style which reflects the emotions and quality of what he sketch. His primary paintings and drawings concentrated on the pictures of landscapes and other similar pictures. Later on he increased the depth of the themes he worked own. By the period 1640 he did many etching works and also entered in to the area of printmaking.

His works became more significant and the fame of Rembrandt spread everywhere such that people was ready to buy a piece of his works at any cost. Rembrandt van Rijn had a very big workshop with a number pupil.

Among Rembrandt’s famous works it’s the Night Watch, The Jewish Bride, special biblical sketches and other etching works are now also preserved with great value and importance in the museum on his birth place. Rembrandt van Rijn was died on October 4th in the year 1669 at the age of 63. This Rembrandt van Rijn 407th Birthday Google Doodle that we can see on the Google homepage is a real tribute to him.
