In 2000 Olympic Games there where 3 main categories of Olympic Games in Sydney Gymnastics competition. They are known as artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and trampoline.The Google doodle is released especially the day after the Gymnastic competitions started.
As in all 2000 Olympics doodle there is a kangaroo which performing the Gymnastic in this doodle. The 2 o’s in the Google logo is used as the handle rings for performing the Gymnastics. In all doodles the ‘Google’ is written by using 5 colors representing 5 continents. . The letters are written with blue, yellow, black, green and red, which are colors appearing in the Olympic ring.
In Gymnastics competition of Olympic Games in Sydney there was 10 subcategories of competitions. They are Team all-around, Individual all-around, Vault, Pommel horse rings, Parallel bars, Horizontal bat, Uneven bars and Balance beam.
There are 2 subcategories for the event rhythmic Gymnastics. They are Group all – around and individual all-around categories. There is only one category of event for trampoline and that is an individual event for men and women.In the Individual all – around event Russia’s Alexei Nemov, China’s Yang Wei and Ukraine’s Oleksandr Beresh won Gold, Silver and Bronze medal respectively. In Floor event Latvia’s Igors Vihrovs, Russia’s Alexei Nemov and Bulgaria’s Yordan Yovchev won the Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively.
Now when considering the women’s event, in the Team all-around event Romania’s team containing Simona Amanar, Andreea Isarescu, Loredana Boboc, Maria Olaru, Andreea Raducan and Claudia Presacan won the Gold medal. The Russian and United States team won the Silver and Bronze medal respectively.
In Rhythmic Gymnastics Group event Russian team containing Irina Belova, Natalia Lavrova, Yelena Chalamova, Mariya Netesova, Irina Zilber and Vyera Shimanskaya won the Gold medal. The Belarus and Greece won the Silver and Bronze medal respectively. In Trampoline Men’s Individual event Russia’s Alexander Moskalenko won the Gold medal. In the same event Australia and Canada won the Silver and Bronze respectively.
In Women’s individual item Russia, Ukraine and Canada won the Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively. When looking in to the medal table Russia dominates in the event and become the topper.
