Kenya Independence Day 2013 Google Doodle is a look back to the day Kenya became Independent. It’s on 12th December 1963, Kenya gained Independence from UK. Google doodle includes Kenyan flag flying over shinning sun and also mark the struggle for independence featuring Kenyans in it. The day also marks the establishment of republic in Kenya a year later in 1964. It’s the 50th year of Independence Kenya celebrated in 2013.
Jamhuri Day, it’s the name that is popular in Kenya for the celebration. It’s also a public holiday to mark the independence and republic. Focusing on culture and heritage Kenyans include many programs for the celebration of the day in a grant way. As it’s the Jubilee of Independence, color of celebration was bit more. Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta addressed the crowd on the day. As usual, the entire country was flowing in flag colors as in the doodle.
