Janusz Korczak is a Polish Jewish author, the educator and a pediatrician. He was known for his love and care for children. Google doodle on October 7th was in honor for Janusz Korczak.
Poland celebrates this year to remember the life and works of Janusz Korczak . Google also dedicated a doodle to honor him. Doodle reflects the love and affection that janusz had for children. Janusz was famous for spreading knowledge to orphan children in an orphanage in which he was the director for many years.
In the doodle we can see the picture of Janusz holding a book in his hand with a group of students listening him around. Henryk Goldszmit is the actual name of the personality with the pen name Janusz Korczak. He was born on 22nd July 1878. He was men who spend most of his life for the welfare of children. After graduating as a pediatrician he worked as a military doctor. At the same time he wrote articles in news papers.
Janusz debuted in the satirical weekly with the work “The Gordian knot” which was a humorous work. His works attracted both adults and children .His works included Social journals, theatrical plays, pediatric essay, personal document literature, documentation of educational practices and so on.
Janusz had written about 20 books, more than 1400 works in magazines and news papers. It was in September parliament passed the resolution to celebrate year 2012 as the year of Janusz Korczak. Marek Michalak, the Ombudsman for children in Poland was the man who took initiative for this announcement. Today we have Januz Korczak Association in Canada.
According to Michalak, the year makes Poland think more seriously about the rights of children and the man Korczak who made it aware to everyone by his dedication and works for children.
