Start of Cricket World Cup 2011 Google Doodle

The Google logo has changed on February 19th of 2011 to announce the start of Cricket World Cup 2011.Google Doodle celebrated the start World Cup of 2011 which started in the Mirpur.

2011 ICC Cricket World Cup was the 10th Cricket World Cup .The opening ceremony of the ICC Cricket world cup was held on February 17th of  2011 at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka and the tournament started on February 19th and ended on April 2nd.

The first match is played by the India and Bangladesh and the Final is between the India and Sri Lanka.

India won the World cup, beating Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the final match that held in the Mumbai. India won the Cricket World cup 2011 after 28 years.

The other delighted thing is that it was the India who capture the first place in winning the Cricket World Cup final on the homesoil.The Champions are Dhoni,Sachin Tendulkar,Yuvraj Singh,Harbhajan Singh,Gautam Gambir,Zaheer Khan,ViratKohli,Suresh Raina,Ashish Nehra,Munaf Patel,Virendra Sehwag,Ashwin,Piyush Chawla,Yusuf Pathan  and more.

Now the count down for ICC World cup 2015 have already started. Cricket fans can now wait for the new war of cricket in 2015. We can expect the Google doodle for the same in 2015.

The logo to showcase the start of Cricket World Cup 2011 includes  a cricketer who is a left handed batsman, wielding his willow bat ,it looks like a pullshot. As the background it shows the pitch and the green grass of the ground.

In the 2011 Cricket World Cup India’s Yuvraj Singh declared as the Man of the series. There have 49 matches played allover. In the Cricket World Cup history it was the first time where the two Asian teams appeared in the final. It was a tribute a to the winning team India who played one of the best Cricket of all times.
