The release of larger screen iPhone 6 reportedly set for next month. Ahead of that much awaiting release Apple today roll out full screen interstitial and pre-roll videos ads for it’s iAds platform and made it available for developers & advertisers.
Both interstitial and pre-roll video ads will present on both iPhone and iPad. These two new ad formats will take over entire screen of iPhone/iPad while using an application. It bring more revenue for developers than from smaller Ad formats.
The interstitial ads can be displayed as a page of content. Also present as a transitional screen between two different section of an application, for example at end of one particular level in an application.
The iAd banners demands 30 seconds minimum rendering time for optimizing ad performance in an application. The pre-roll video Ads comes in different duration such as 15, 30 or 60 seconds.
