ANZAC Day doodles are seen in the Google homepage of Australia and New Zealand every year on April 25th. On 2009, two different doodles were published on the homepage landed on Australia and New Zealand. The observance of the day dedicated to the honor the people who sacrificed the life at Gallipoli battle on the day is very important in those countries.

The above ANZAC Day 2009 Google Doodle Australia appeared on Google Australia on April 25. There is no big changes in the Google logo on the day. To make people remember about the importance of the ANZAC day in the doodle, a flower is replaced in the place of letter ‘l’.

ANZAC Day 2009 observance in Australia was similar to those that took place in previous years. People all over the country gathered together in public places to pray for the veterans who sacrificed life at the Gallipoli battle.

Dedicating life for the nation is not a small thing ,only comrades can do it. So the army corps who participated in the battle at Gallipoli are the real asset of the nation. So government as well as people of Australia spent time on the day to pray for the souls of soldiers who died during the battle for the nation.

As in the home page Australia we can see a doodle in ANZAC Day 2009 Google Doodle in New Zealand also on the day with poppy flowers in it. Poppy flower is used to make wreaths and bouquets to keep in the tombs. On ANZAC Day we can see people carrying poppy wreaths to keep on the tombs of the loved ones who passed away.

By placing two little red poppy flower in the logo on ANZAC Day 2009 Google honored those who lived and died for nation. In New Zealand as in all other years this year also many poppy parades were held in main places.

Google doodle on both the countries which took part in the battle at Gallipoli makes them remember the incident took place in the year 1915. Beginning from that year today also this day is observed with great importance and value.
