Dr Martin Luther King Jr ‘ I Have a Dream Speech ‘ was witnessed by more than 250,000 civil right supporters on the day. I Have a Dream Speech listed as the top speech of 20th century. Martin Luther King Jr was listed as the Man of the Year 1964 by Times Magazine. He won the Nobel Prize for peace in this same year. I Have a Dream speech was included in the United Stated National Recording Registry by Library of Congress in the year 2002.

In the year 2003 National Park Service dedicated a marble pedestal inscribing MLK’s speech quotes at the Lincoln Memorial. Martin Luther King was given many honors during his life time and also after his assassination.

Dr Martin Luther King Jr day is celebrated on third Monday of January every year. Google have honored him with Martin Luther King Day doodle on the day in previous years.
