2006 World Cup Google Doodles

World Cup Football tournament organized by FIFA in 2006 from June 9 to July 9. Google released a set of doodles representing each nation in their home page. In that Google doodle a player is their representing each team and the first ‘o’ in the Google logo is replaced with the soccer ball.

In 2006 World Cup football tournament Ivory Cost was in Group C along with other nations like Argentina, Netherlands and Serbia and Montenegro. The first match of the Group was between Ivory Coast and Argentina on 10th June.

In this match Argentina won by 1-0. The next match of Ireland was between Netherland. In this match Netherlands won by 2-1. The next match was against Serbia and Montenegro. In this match at last Ivory Coast won by 3-0. But Ivory Coast didn’t go to next stage and ended up in 3rd spot in Group table.

Ireland were in the Port B of the qualifying Groups for World Cup 2006 football tournament in UEFA teams. In the qualifying matches the whole teams are divided into 7 Groups.

But Ireland didn’t qualify for the next level and ended up with 10win, 4 lose and 5 draws on 4th of the rank table in Group 4.

In 2006 World Cup football Croatia was in Group F along with other teams like Brazil, Australia and Japan. The first match in the Group was between Australia and Japan on 12th June.

In this match both team hit 2 Goals each thus the draw comes.  But Croatia gets out of the tournament at initial stage itself.

So by this poor performance Trinidad and Tobago was out of the tournament at initial stage itself.

Australia in 2006 World Cup football tournament belonged to Group F along with other nations like Croatia, Brazil and Japan. The first match of the Group was between Australia and Japan. In this match Australia won by 3-1.

But in the match against Brazil Australia lost to Brazil by 2-0. In the next match with Croatia was ended up in a draw by 2-2. So by this 1 Win, loss and draw Australia propagated to next level in the tournament. In the next level match Australia played with Italy. But they loss by 1-0. So here the end of Australia’s journey in 2006 World Cup is ended.
