2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney Kayak Google Doodle

This doodle is released as a part of  of Olympic Games in Sydney Kayak competition . Google released a series of doodles as a part of Olympic Games. After the colorful opening ceremony it’s time to players to put their best on the competition. The starting events for the Sydney Olympic Games are Canoeing and kayaking.

In Olympic Games there are mainly 2 categories in canoeing, slalom and sprint. Different styles of boating can be used in this sport. Kayaking can be done with 1, 2 or 4 kayakers and Canoeing with 1 or 2 canoers. The name designations for the event are like K-2 is called as kayak doubles and C-1 is called as canoe singles event. Usually the races are 1000 meters or 500 meters long but 10 km race were there during the years 1936 to 1956.

There is a kangaroo at the right end of logo. It is posterized as kangaroo is on the race.  Rest of the Google doodle is same as that of the doodle released in Opening Ceremony of Sydney Olympics Games 2000.

According to the announcement given by the International Canoe Federation it is decided that a new event called K-1 for women with 200 m race. The 500 m race for the men is replaced with 200 m. The announcement is come to act since from  2012 Summer Olympics.

In all doodles the ‘Google’ is written by using 5 colors representing 5 continents.  The letters are written with blue, yellow, black, green and red, which are colors appearing in the Olympic ring.
