In doodle there is a Basketball Hoop. The ‘l’ in Google is replaced as Hoop. There is a Basketball net at the one end of Hoop.

In all Olympic doodles of the year 2000 the ‘Google’ is written by using 5 colors representing 5 continents. . The letters are written with blue, yellow, black, green and red, which are colors appearing in the Olympic ring.

So at Olympic Games in Sydney Basketball competition in women’s category also United States won the gold. In the same Australia and Brazil won the Silver and Bronze respectively.

Olympic Games in Sydney Basketball competition started on September 16. There were 12 women and men’s teams participated from different continents. The championship was held until October 1. The men’s teams are Angola, United States, China, Canada, Italy, New Zealand, Lithuania, France, Spain, Russia, Yugoslavia and Australia.

The women’s teams are Senegal, Cuba, Brazil, Canada, Korea, Poland, France, Slovak Republic, Russia, New Zealand, United States and Australia. The 12 teams are divided into 2 Group having 6 teams in each Group. For men’s tournament Group A contains United States, Italy, Lithuania, France, China and New Zealand. Group B consist of Canada, Yugoslavia, Australia, Russia, Spain and Angola.
